Description

Here for sale we have a Fender Highway One Stratocaster in Honey Burst Satin Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish. Built in the USA in 2007, this guitar features an Alder body, a Modern ‘C’ profile Maple neck and fingerboard, 22 Jumbo frets, along with a trio of Hot Single Coil Strat pickups with Alnico 3 magnets, wired to a master volume, dual tone pots and a 5-way blade switch.

The satin finish neck plays very well, feeling particularly consistent with other contemporary Fender necks, filling the hand nicely, without being overly large, certainly a profile that will suit the vast majority of players.

The tone of the Highway One Stratocaster is fairly traditional, but with a slightly hotter output, giving you a sweet low end, an open midrange, along with crisp, sparkling highs. Overall a great guitar for all sorts of genres and playing styles, with a lovely satin nitrocellulose finish.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Light markings visible under bright lighting and there are noticeable scratch markings around the truss rod.

Neck: Light scratch markings to the rear, not affecting playability. There are also signs of wear to the fingerboard, most notably to frets 2, 3, 4.

Body: Scratches and light dents are noticeable, predominantly to the edges, with a few markings having broken the finish. The finish has become dull to the bass side taper where your forearm would rest, as is common with nitrocellulose finishes.

Condition of Frets:

Fret dents are visible, predominantly to the lower frets but can be found across the whole register of the instrument. The guitar has a tendency to buzz when set with a lower action, so has been set on the higher side to mitigate against this. The frets still have life left, though a fret dress would be advisable in the not-too-distant future to improve playability.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod Condition: Fully functional & can be adjusted

Hardware Condition: Fully functional with light signs of wear. Please note that the vibrato arm is for a right-handed guitar, so faces the wrong way when installed.
